Gift Guide: My Favorite Things of 2019
Grab your chai, today Im sharing my 15 most Favorite Things of 2019. Everything from kitchen gadgets to skincare to makeup to fragrance to fashion. The one item I am on the fence about getting in 2019 was an Air Fryer because most of them have a nonstick coating. I may give in and get one in 2020 provided it is PFOA free. Without further ado, here are my most favorite items of 2019.
Kitchen
1. Instant Pot 6 Quart
I cant live without my 6 quart Instant Pot. Although I dont make a bunch of meals in it, I use it mainly for rice, lentils, and shredded chicken. One of my favorite products of 2019.
2. Le Creuset Dutch Oven, 2.75 quart
You all know I cant live without my Dutch Oven because I talk about it on stories over and over again. I use it mainly for soups, chicken curry, and pasta. A little pricey, however you can find it on sale during the holidays. Williams Sonoma 3.5 quart| Amazon
3. Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
Perhaps my most used kitchen gadget, I use my cast iron skillet to make eggs, potatoes, and quick sautes. Its so handy and easy to use. Once you practice, I promise you will never go back to nonstick.
4. Ballarini Forged Aluminium Nonstick Stir Fry Pan, PFOA FREE
The only nonstick pan I own, but its PFOA FREE. Ballarinis nonstick stir fry pan is made in Italy and does NOT have a teflon coating, but rather a granitium nonstick coating. Its great for Thai curries, stir fry, potatoes, or any dish that requires a lot of oil.
5. Krups Spice Herbs and Coffee Grinder
I literally use this coffee grinder to blend my dry herbs and use it to make marinades and chutneys. It comes in handy when youre blending Indian spices to make items such as my Tikka Masala Pasta. A small and useful kitchen gadget.
Beauty
6. Supergoop Daily Moisturizer SPF 40
Since Ive moved to sunny California, Ive needed higher SPF. Supergoop has spf 40 protections and doesnt leave a white/grey cast on my face. Its super moisturizing!
7. Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Toner
I started using toners this year, and this one by Fresh is my absolute favorite. It smells lovely and removes my dirt, oil, and makeup.
8. Becca Under Eye Color Corrector
Ive tested out a few color correctors, however this one is my favorite since it targets the color and the eye bag area. Im in the shade medium to deep.
9. Becca Highlighter
A little bit goes a long way, the Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop gives you that perfect glow, and its ideal for brown to olive toned complexion.
10. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
After using Tarte Shape Tape for about 6 months, I switched back to Nars. Both Tarte and Nars are great conealers, however I found Nars to be a little more hydrating and less cakey than Tarte. Im in the shade cafe con leche.
11. Anastasia Beverly Hills Jackie Aina Palette
I love the variety of colors in this palette blues, purples, pinks, browns. I recently purchased this palette and Im having a lot of fun with it.
12. Hourglass Blush
I was using Nars Orgasm for the longest time, and I finally bought a new blush Mood Exposure by Hourglass. Its a gorgeous pink plum color that works on any skin tone.
13. Travel Makeup Case
Since I travel between California and New Jersey quite a bit, I need all my makeup, skincare, and perfumed in one place. The last thing I wanna do is pack my makeup bag separate. I place this makeup bag in my drawer and zip and pack it up when Im traveling. A must have! Large Size | Small Size
Fragrance
14. Tom Ford Soleil Blanc
My favorite fragrance purchase of the year. Both my husband and I love this scent on me. Its soft, floral with orange notes. I love it!
Fashion
15. Barefoot Dreams Cozy Cardigan
Out of all the clothes I purchased this year, I wear this cardigan all the time. Whenever Im cold at home, I put this cardigan on. When Im going to the grocery store and need something warm, I grab this cardigan. Its my goto!
And thats it!
