Ok, so no new team members to introduce this week but lots of quality recommendations. Let’s get in quick so we can get outside.
Friends first. The ever-talented Oh Joy! team just launched a new pillow collection of latch hook and embroidered pillows and boy are they so cute. We are currently pretty partial to this ray of sunshine (pun-intended…once you click through).
More friends second. One of Emily’s bestie’s Robyn got her these Nike Running Shoes Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo Running Shoe and she says they are awesome. As a runner, Emily has tried her fair share of shoes and these might be her favorite. Plus, they just plain look good.
Bowser recently got this wood drying rack for her stasher bags. The best thing about the rack is that it folds up so that you can easily throw it in a drawer when not in use if you’re one of those people that hates a cluttered counter.
One of our favorite Aussie design sites The Design Files has yet another truly warm yet jaw-dropping home reveal. This modern rustic house is what cozy dreams are made of. Plus, you really have to see the kids’ room…epic bunk bed situation happening.
It finally feels like summer here in LA and that means those temps are getting in the high 80s so Julie has been testing out different aluminum-free deodorants that ACTUALLY work all day long while schlepping furniture for shoots. She’s happy to report that she has finally found the one by Type A and they have three amazing scents: Floral Linen, Ocean Mint and—the one she’s been using—Clean Crisp Citron!
Grace was thinking of seeing Miss Saigon at the Pantages Theatre (she’s only seen a regional production thus far). She loves the songs and the original production will always have a place in her heart (hello, Lea Salonga—Filipino pride!). But one of her really good friends who is Vietnamese American just shared this article about how some of them feel about the Vietnamese’s portrayal in all productions of this musical and it’s eye-opening.
Fun summer shoe alert: Mallory recently bought a pair of these Soludos mules and they became an instant staple in her summer wardrobe. PSA, if you get them, make sure you break them in before wearing them for 12 hours straight with no change of shoes…she learned that the hard blister-ridden way.
Caitlin highly recommends following the Instagram feeds of these two service puppies in training. Phil is an American pup and Boots is over in the UK. Nothing warms her heart more than watching these little guys learning and growing every day over Instagram stories.
